About two years ago I was searching in a damaged graphic novels bin and I came across something published by Top Shelf Books called "Tales From the Farm", by a Canadian fellow named Jeff Lemire. Intrigued by the art, I purchased it and was totally blown away by both the art and the touching story. His stuff is loose and inky, spattery and texturey and I loved it. Particularly the way he renders backgrounds, landscapes and small town life.
Anyhoo, he has a new book coming out from Vertigo this Summer called "The Nobody". I was intrigued by the storyline and covetous of the art. Check out the preview here.
